Hello, I’m Rebecca Ellis. I will be covering Eleanor’s acupuncture clinic during her period of maternity leave until roughly end of the year/early 2021.
A little bit about my work as an Acupuncturist…
I graduated with a degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2009 and have been working in various settings with diverse demographics ever since.
I’ve gained most of my clinical experience in London working in specialist fertility clinics and IVF hospitals. I ran a multi-bed acupuncture project and volunteered in a busy hospice assisting end of life care with acupuncture.
I’ve also worked alongside a highly skilled team in Durham, specialising in chronic pain.
As part of my commitment to keep my skills as a practitioner growing:
- I’ve undertaken a post graduate scholarship in Chinese medicine in China
- Trained in other modalities like Bowen technique and bodywork
- Qualified as a yoga teacher and therapist in India and worked there for 3 years (whilst also treating alongside the injured yogis!)
- Volunteered twice now in a health post in rural Nepal treating between 50-70 patients in the morning clinic!
The list goes on but I will stop here! Over the years I have gained vast amounts of clinical experience and belief this enables me to treat a wide range of health conditions.
What I love about my work is that I am continually learning – about you the person in front of me and also the vast vast topic of Chinese
medicine. Cultivation of health is an individual journey and qualifying was really only the start to a life long/hopefully a long life of learning. I feel very privileged to have found this work.
And a little bit about myself…I love to be in the great outdoors; hiking and exploring, swimming and surfing. I’ve recently taken on an allotment. I’m enjoying the new learning involved and the small victories! I also love my time working, traveling and adventuring abroad with my partner.
Please feel free to contact me. I look forward to meeting you.
